Today is Cruinniú na nÓg 2021 and we are slap bang in the middle of the Nenagh Children's Film Festival which runs from 11-13 June with great films and show, including a talk show with a difference...

The festival put the call out for some new film makers and thanks to Next Gen Animators they showcased some amazing talent.

Some of them made it on to the telly - Cruinniú on RTÉ TV and Player

And now to meet St Brendan...

He has made a film about his epic voyage across the Atlantic to find America, he is a guest on 'Coffee N Chat' to talk about the film and defend his position of being the first person to discover America.

Amy the Albatross, Brendan's long time partner in discovery also joins him on the sofa. However just to make things difficult Christopher Columbus, is also a guest on the show, tune in to see the chaos unfold.

Closing the show is the angelic Emma Langford singing the title song from the film - 'The Navigator'.

The festival wraps up on Sunday, 13 June where RTÉ news2day presenter Aisling Moloney will host the awards ceremony at 7.30pm.

Cruinniú na nÓg 2021 is a collaboration between the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media, the Creative Ireland Programme, local authorities and RTÉ and is the only event of its kind in the world.
