Steven Spielberg has been spending time in Ireland as part of his work as executive producer on the new horror film The Turning, according to reports.
The chiller is being filmed in Wicklow, with the county's Kilruddery Estate among the locations. The story was first reported by The Wicklow Voice.
It is reported that Spielberg has been in Ireland since filming began last week.

Based on the Henry James novella The Turn of the Screw, The Turning stars Mackenzie Davis (Halt and Catch Fire, Blade Runner 2049) in the lead role opposite Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Brooklynn Prince (The Florida Project).

Davis plays a nanny tasked with caring for two orphaned children in a mansion, with American Gods and The Handmaid's Tale director Floria Sigismondi behind the lens.

Spielberg is no stranger to Ireland, with location filming on his Oscar-winning Saving Private Ryan and the Irish charity premiere of Lincoln among a number of visits.

The filmmaker is among the Oscar nominees again this year for The Post.
