Over 1,000 ‘techies’ are set to take to the streets of Dublin on 7th July for a unique tech-enhanced treasure trail, to raise funds for Temple Street Children’s Hospital.
Zendesk, eBay, LinkedIn, Airbnb and PaddyPower, are among the one hundred teams taking part in the Techies4Temple Street treasure trail event, which combines outdoor activities with digital media challenges. The winners will be crowned ‘Ireland’s Smartest Techies’ at a post-event party.
Since the first treasure trail in 2015, Techies4TempleStreet has raised over €400,000 for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, helping sick children and their families, by providing life-saving equipment and services.
Denise Fitzgerald, CEO of the Temple Street Foundation, said: "Having one hundred teams registered well in advance of this year’s event bodes extremely well for our fundraising goals. In 2016, we raised €200,000, and now it looks like we’re on course to break that record. This will have real, tangible benefits for Temple Street Children’s Hospital, its patients and their families."
"There’s still time to register, and we encourage every company in the business and tech community, big or small, to sign up for a day of fun and networking, all for a very good cause."
