He reads from 'Whatever You Say, Say Nothing' and discusses reading 'Requiem for the Croppies' to sixth-form Protestant students. He believes that there have been many changes in Northern Ireland during his lifetime.

Information: | ‘The Arts Show’ was a radio arts programme presented by Mike Murphy. It was first broadcast on 13 September 1988. According to the RTÉ Guide, it was “a major commitment by RTÉ to the arts in Ireland”, with three programmes a week from Tuesday to Thursday RTÉ Radio 1. It intended to emphasise “enjoyment of the arts and celebrating the rich diversity of what is happening all over the country” (RTÉ Guide, 9 September 1988, p. 26). ‘The Arts Show’ ended when Mike Murphy retired from RTÉ.
