As the investigation into the Irish Republican Army (IRA) bomb attack at Mayobridge, near Rathfriland, County Down continues, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) has blamed the Northern Ireland Secretary, Peter Brooke, for the IRA's stepping up of its attacks in the wake of his remarks that talks could take place with Sinn Féin if IRA violence ended.
