The Turkish Ambassador to Ireland, Halil Dag, today gave a news briefing on the plight of 160,000 refugees from neighbouring Bulgaria who are camped on the land frontier inside Turkish territory.

Report shows Dag giving news briefing followed by interview in which he says the rights of the Turkish minority in Bulgaria should be respected and those who wish to emigrate should be allowed to do so properly. He thinks the Irish government should try to exert influence on the Bulgarian government.

The reporter is Kevin McDonald.
