Funeral of Keith White, first Protestant to be killed by a plastic bullet.

The funeral cortege of about 1,500 mourners leaves the White family home in the Mournview Estate, Belfast.

Leading Loyalists and DUP members Rev Ian Paisley and Peter Robinson, and Ulster Defence Association (UDA) Leader John McMicheal were in attendance.

At one point Rev Ian Paisley helped to carry the coffin on route to St John's Parish Church.

After the funeral a crowd of about two hundred gathered in nearby Portadown where Keith White had been hit by a plastic bullet during riots on Easter Monday. The protestors blocked the main street for about an hour.

In Lurgan, several hundred marched on a police station to hand in a protest letter requesting an inquest into Mr White's death. Similar protests took place across Northern Ireland.
