Loyalist marchers clash with the RUC as blockades are set up around the town of Castlewellan, County Down.
Councillor Ethel Smyth addressed a loyalist gathering and warned RUC men that one day they might be unable to live in safe Protestant areas.
Meanwhile, Loyalists paraded towards an RUC roadblock at Clough.
The police then chased the marchers through fields and boulders were thrown at the police.
Ian Paisley made a final appeal to Northern Secretary Douglas Hurd and warned of a backlash and a threat to democracy.
