One of a number of recordings from made at the second annual Wexford Festival Opera, which took place in October and November 1952.

Recording from a festival forum discussing the merits of three inventions, radio, internal combustion engine and gramophone.

In a light hearted response Seán MacBride says the three inventions are "disastrous" for mankind. Mary Frances Keating says that radio is "an invention of the devil" that has "reduced people to a moronic state".

Possibly recorded for ‘The Wexford Festival of 1952’, a radio feature by Norris Davidson, which was broadcast 6 November 1952.
