Troy Parrott leads Mayo to a mini All Ireland Football Final win over Dublin.
In two days Croke Park will be filled with 80,000 GAA football fans hoping their county can lift the Sam Maguire and be All Ireland champions.
In the shadow of Croke Park, pupils from O'Connell National School have staged their own version of the football final. While most of the school are from Dublin, there was still some support for the red and green of County Mayo. The pupils split into two teams representing both Dublin and Mayo to decide who takes home the Sam Maguire. When the final whistle blew, it was Mayo that were crowned the mini All Ireland champions with a final score of 03-08 to 01-07. While the boys on the Mayo team celebrated their win, they will not be supporting Mayo on the day of the actual All Ireland Football Final.
Dubliner and Mayo captain for the day, 11 year old Troy Parrott, predicts that Dublin will be All Ireland Champions.
Dublin are a better team.
