A queen, camels, vintage cars, pipe bands and fancy dress,all part of a Wexford Mardi Gras festival.
The people of Taghmon in County Wexford enjoy the village Mardi Gras festival.
The festival opens with a parade through Taghmon featuring fancy dress, camels, vintage cars and pipe bands from Campile and New Ross.
Eileen Doyle of Ballybeg was crowned the Maid of Mardi Gras.

Instead of a Festival Queen, they had a Maid of Mardi Gras.
In addition to the pipe bands, members of the Piercetown School Band also took part in the parade, providing their own kind of music.
