The Cork International Choral and Dance Festival brings a colourful cosmopolitan feel to the city.

Festival director Professor Aloys Fleischmann says the event has grown in its 22 year existence. This year there are a larger number of participants than ever before and many sold out performances.

The festival has blossomed since its earlier years.

Folk groups and choirs from around the world perform on the streets of Cork bringing colour and life to the city. Aloys Fleishmann thinks that next year the festival will have to expand to accommodate the growing number of events and performances.
