A visit to Bewley's chocolate factory where Easter eggs are handmade and decorated.

Easter is one of the busiest times of the year at the Bewley's chocolate factory in Dublin where chocolate eggs, bunnies and hens are made and decorated by hand.

The factory has a machine to melt and stir the chocolate. This chocolate is manually poured into moulds and left to set. Once removed from the moulds the Easter eggs are assembled and ready for decoration.

Long-time Bewley's employee Violet Sherlock shows Aonghus McAnally how to decorate an Easter egg. Under her watchful eye, he zealously sets to work with a piping bag. Her verdict on his work,

Not bad, mind you, not bad.

That said, she is unwilling to offer him a job should he decide to give up his television presenting work.

Once decorated, the chocolate goods are boxed up and ready to be sold.

This episode of 'Anything Goes' was broadcast on 6 April 1985. The presenter is Aonghus McAnally.
