Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Harold Wilson addresses the Irish community at a Saint Patrick's Day banquet in London.

Marking St Patrick's Day and Anglo Irish relations, British Prime Minister and Labour Party leader Harold Wilson addresses the Irish Club dinner in London.

Harold Wilson was the guest of honour at the Irish Club banquet at the Hilton Hotel.

We are celebrating the growing friendship of our two countries.

The Prime Minister says that relations between the two countries have never been closer. He also comments on improvements in trade between Ireland and the United Kingdom and the potential for further growth. He goes on to talk of Ireland’s record in world affairs.
