The Hunger Games topped the Teen Choice Awards, winning seven major prizes.
Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Alexander Ludwig each took home awards for their performances in the film.
Another big winner on the night was singer Taylor Swift, who won five trophies including Choice Female Artist, Choice Country Song and Choice Movie Voice for her work in The Lorax.

Justin Bieber won four gongs, Choice Male Artist, Choice Male Music Star of the Summer, Choice Single by a Male Artists and Choice Male Fashion Icon.

One Direction took home three awards, Choice Love Song, Choice Summer Music Star Group and Choice Music Breakout Group.
The Twilight Saga was awarded a variety of trophies, most notably the Ultimate Choice prize. Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner were on hand to accept the surfboards for the award, but ended up throwing the trophies into the audience.

Miley Cyrus was named Choice Female Hottie, while The Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder was the Choice Male Hottie.
