Thousands of people packed the streets of Kilkenny last night to welcome home the 2012 All-Ireland senior hurling champions.
The players and management team took an open top bus ride through the streets before arriving at Nowlan Park at about 6.30pm for a reception in honour of their seventh All-Ireland success in nine years.
The team had earlier in the day paid the traditional visit to Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin, where they signed autographs and posed for pictures with the young patients.
Galway also returned to a warm welcome with over 5,000 fans gathering in Pearse Stadium to acknowledge their efforts.
