Motorists were earlier advised to expect delays after both bores of the Port Tunnel were closed after a truck caught fire.
Gardaí had warned that "delays are to be expected while emergency services attend."
Both bores bore have now been reopened, and the vehicle has been removed.
The operators of the tunnel say that both bores are now operating normally.
This afternoon firefighters were called to reports of a HGV fire in @DublinTunnel.
