A man has died after getting into difficulty while diving in Crosshaven, Co Cork.
The alarm was raised at around 4pm.
The man, who was in his 40s, was taken out of the water and brought to the Crosshaven RNLI lifeboat station.
Volunteers from RNLI began emergency care until Rapid Response and a doctor arrived at the scene.
The man was brought to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
