Dublin-based HeyStaks Technologies is to create 20 new jobs in the next year following a €1.5m investment led by Digicel.
The UCD spin-out company said the deal involved a partnership with Denis O’Brien’s company, which would help to bring its analytics software to Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
HeyStaks’ platform analyses smartphone users’ behaviour to identify their interests and activities – but says it does so in a privacy-conscious way that respects people’s right to anonymity.
The company said it would hire six to ten people within the next six months and up to 20 in total over the next year as a result of the investment.
HeyStaks has previously received investments worth €1.8m from the Ulster Bank Diageo Venture Fund, managed by Investec Ventures, the AIB Seed Capital Fund, managed by the Dublin Business Innovation Centre and Enterprise Ireland.
