Bread company McCambridge is entitled to recover only 40% of its costs following its legal action against rival company Brennans, the High Court has ruled.
Mr Justice Michael Peart ruled that McCambridge Ltd should bear some of its own costs after it failed in some aspects of its claim against Brennans.
The company was granted an injunction last week preventing Brennans from selling its wholewheat bread in its current packaging after a judge ruled that the packaging was likely to confuse customers.
But claims by McCambridge that Brennans had deliberately imitated the packaging and had infringed copyright were dismissed by the court.
