Kernel Capital, manager of the Bank of Ireland Seed Fund, today said it was investing in a syndicated investment in Waterford-based technology company FeedHenry.
The Fund has committed €500,000 in the Enterprise Ireland supported company. The company has created 22 jobs in Ireland over the last year and plans to add another 15 this year.
Set up in 2008, FeedHenry emerged from the Telecommunications Software & Systems Group in the Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT). Its product enables the development of business-class mobile apps in a simple, secure and cost effective manner for use on smartphones and tablet devices.
'With smartphone and tablet devices now outnumbering PC sales, we recognise the opportunity that FeedHenry is capitalising upon in the growing market for mobile business applications,' commented Niall Olden, managing partner with Kernel Capital.
