Britvic Ireland has agreed to acquire the business of drinks wholesaler Quinn's of Cookstown from Tennents Northern Ireland (part of C&C Group), for an undisclosed sum.
Quinn's provides drink wholesale and distribution services to over 800 outlets across Northern Ireland. It employs 30 staff.
The focus is now said to be on completing the acquisition, integrating the business, and there are no plans beyond that in relation to staff numbers.
'Quinn's Northern Ireland portfolio includes several 'must stock' brands that will help position Britvic as a supplier of choice for many outlets,' said Andrew Richards, managing director of Britvic Ireland.
'It will also enhance Britvic's competitive position increasing its on-trade access in Northern Ireland from 140 to over 800 outlets.'
