Ulster Bank names Brown as new chief

Ulster Bank has named Jim Brown as its new chief executive. He replaces Cormac McCarthy who announced he was stepping down from the position last July.

From New Zealand, Mr Brown has most recently held the position of chief executive Retail & Commercial Markets Asia for Royal Bank of Scotland having worked in the financial services industry for over 30 years.

In his most recent role he has been responsible for the day to day management of the Retail and Commercial businesses leading over 7,000 employees across Asia and the Middle East.
