Hundreds of jobs are expected to be provided at a new electronics facility in Shannon.
A formal announcement is scheduled to be made next month but some details of the project have already come to light.
Zagg is a profitable American company that makes accessories like cases, screen protectors and headsets for mobile phones and other electronic products.
The company has moved into a 30,000 square foot facility in the Shannon Industrial Estate, from where it will serve its customers in Europe, Asia and Africa.
A joint venture between Zagg and a local County Clare firm will see 140 staff employed by the end of next year, and 300 by the end of 2014.
It is expected that the Irish firm, which now employs around 40 staff, will create the extra jobs, with Zagg itself to employing just 20 staff in Shannon.
