BAE Systems says its offer for security software firm Norkom has been declared unconditional in all respects.

In January, BAE made an offer for the Irish firm, which valued it at €217m. Under the terms of the deal, Norkom shareholders will receive €2.10 in cash for each share they own.

BAE said that by yesterday it had received valid acceptances representing about 84.3% of Norkom's shares.

'All of the conditions to the offer as set out in the offer document have now been satisfied or waived and, accordingly, the offer is declared unconditional in all respects,' a statement from BAE Systems said.

The company said it plans to cancel Norkom's listing on Dublin's Enterprise Securities Market and London's AIM market from March 18 or as soon as it practicable after that.
