Online casino and poker group 888 has said it is in talks with bookmaker Ladbrokes on a possible deal.
On Sunday, Ladbrokes had confirmed it was in early stage discussions over a possible offer for 888.
The Sunday Times had reported that Ladbrokes was considering an offer pitched at about 70p per share, valuing 888 at around £240m.
