Ryanair says it carried just over five million passengers in November, up 2% on the same month last year. Its load factor, or percentage of seats filled, was unchanged at 80%.

Last month, when it released half-year results, the airline said the outlook for the rest of the year remained cautious, but based on forward bookings it now expects that winter yields, or average fares, would be slightly better than previously forecast.

Ryanair made a net profits of €452m for the six months to the end of September - a 17% increase from the same time last year. The airline also raised its outlook for its full financial year.
