Irish customers tend to get most excited about the A/W trends as, let's face it, we'll get much more wear out of a decent coat and a pair of boots over a flimy summer dress and gladiator sandals.
Suffice to say, the Arnotts Autumn/Winter fashion show didn't disappoint, with a massive array of trends on display, nearly all of which were extremely wearable and adaptable across all age groups.
From luxe streetwear, to effortless minimalism, lush opulence and classic heritage, there was an eclectic mix of styles on display in a range of sumptuous materials including velvet, lace, silk, wool and jersey knits.
It has to be said that the department store's outerwear offering is particularly noteworthy, with fierce faux fur jackets from new brand Bandits, impeccably tailored wool coats from Whistles and the most perfect cropped biker jacket from Ganni going straight to the top of our wish lists.
Updating your a/w '16 wardrobe with a coat is the top advice from stylist Lorna Weightman, as once you have a good piece of outwear, it takes the guesswork out of getting dressed.
Key colour trends are dreamy neutrals in ivory and blush, shades of grey from light to dark, pops of eye-catching orange, and of course, where-would-we-be-without-it black.
