William Grant sets up Dublin marketing office

Scottish family distillers William Grant & Sons today said the company is to set up its new global marketing office in Dublin.

The new development will create 11 new jobs, while another six will transfer from C&C's marketing division to William Grant.

The company said the Dublin office will manage its global marketing operations for William Grant & Sons' non-Scotch brands including Sailor Jerry, Hendrick's Gin and the newly acquired Tullamore Dew Irish whiskey. It will work alongside its existing global marketing office in London.

William Grant & Sons' Global Marketing Office in the UK will continue to manage the company's Scotch whisky brands Glenfiddich, The Balvenie and Grant's.

William Grant & Sons bought C&C's portfolio of Irish spirits and liqueur brands for €300m in July. The company said today's announcement will greatly strengthen its presence in Ireland.

It added that it intends to focus its marketing activities on the development of the Tullamore Dew brand. The company said it is poised for significant growth.

'The establishment of a global marketing office in Dublin underlines our strong commitment to Ireland and the rapid progress we have made since first establishing ourselves here earlier this year,' commented Stella David, the company's CEO.
