Ryanair carried 7.68 million passengers in August, an increase of 12% on the same month last year. The load factor, or percentage of seats filled, dropped one point to 89%.
When it released first quarter results in July, Ryanair said it remained cautious about the outlook for the rest of the year, expecting average fares to rise by 10% to 15% in its second quarter. But it said it had 'no visibility' on the coming winter.
