A Newry-based financial technology company has taken on 50 new staff, bringing the total employed by the firm to 450.
The new employees at First Derivatives, which provides software and consulting services to the financial services industry, are university graduates from both sides of the border.
CEO Brian Conlon said this was the second year of the company's 'Options' programme, which is designed for recent graduates or those with a number of years work experience and lasts for two years.
Meanwhile, German software testing company Software Quality Systems (SQS), which has offices in Dublin and Belfast, says it plans to increase its workforce by 20 to more than 100 employees by September.
The new jobs that SQS is now looking to fill include positions for software quality engineers, software testing managers, performance engineers and software test analysts.
