Talks were continuing tonight between Quinn Group and Anglo Irish Bank on the terms of a possible refinancing deal for Quinn Insurance.
A management source at Quinn Group told RTÉ News that the company was in talks with the bank, and that Anglo was in touch with the Financial Regulator. A spokesman for the regulator confirmed there had been contact with Anglo Irish Bank.
But the Regulator still expects to be in the High Court on Monday morning seeking to make the provisional administrators to Quinn Insurance Ltd made permanent. Discussions between the parties on a refinancing of Quinn Insurance can still continue even if the administrators are confirmed by the High Court.
