Interim examiner for truck maker

An interim examiner has been appointed to a truck manufacturing company based in County Kildare.

An application before the High Court heard that Tony Gray & Sons Ltd had debts of more than €4m.

The company, based in Hill of Down, Enfield, County Kildare, manufacturers bodies for trucks in the cattle and refrigeration trade. It employs 15 people. The court heard that two break-ins and a fire which destroyed the premises last year led to its current difficulties.

Granting an interim examiner to the company, Mr Justice John Hedigan said it was clear that an examiner would be in the best interests of the company, creditors and employees. He adjourned the case to a full hearing of the petition next Monday.
