Ryanair is to open its 34th base at Leeds Bradford next March. It will base two aircraft at the airport and also today announced the launch of 14 new routes.

This will bring its total services to 17 from the airport, including services to Dublin and a new route to Ireland West Knock.

Ryanair's 14 new routes from Leeds Bradford are to Carcassonne, Faro, Ibiza, Knock, Krakow, Limoges, Malaga, Malta, Montpellier, Murcia, Nantes, Palma, Pisa and Venice Treviso

The airline is investing over $140m at Leeds Bradford and will see passenger numbers rise to one million a year.
