NTR's preliminary results show that the company’s operating losses for the year ended March 31 totalled €76.4 million.
The sustainable energy and waste management company made a profit of over €460 million in the previous year.
The firm, which operates Greenstar Recycling, said that, €44.5 million of the losses was attributable to development costs in its solar and wind businesses.
Last month, NTR's solar energy company, Tessera Solar North America, signed a 20-year deal with CPS Energy to develop a 27-megawatt project in West Texas in the US.
