Several members of Bank of Ireland's senior management have bought shares in the bank.
According to a statement filed with the Irish Stock Exchange today, eight of the bank's directors each bought 2,815 units of stock, valued at €4.51.
The eight include the bank's CEO Brian Goggin, its group chief financial officer John O'Donovan, the boss of its retail financial services division in Ireland, Richie Boucher and the head of its capital markets division Denis O'Donovan. The other four are John Clifford, Finbarr Murphy, Ronan Murphy and Tony Wyatt.
Bank of Ireland shares closed 8% higher in Dublin this evening at €4.89 - a gain of 37 cent.
