Figures from the Pensions Board show that 119,862 Personal Retirement Savings Accounts have now been taken out.
Third quarter data from the board shows that 91,675 Standard PRSAs and 28,187 non-Standard PRSAs have a total asset value of €1.12 billion.
42,926 employees have taken out PRSAs through their employer.
