Gary Kennedy has joined the board of Finance Ireland as a non-executive director.
Mr Kennedy was a member of the AIB board and served as the bank's director of finance and enterprise technology until December 2005.
Now working as an independent business consultant, he is also a non-executive director of Elan, Calyx and several private companies.
Finance Ireland was formerly known as Ardent and is headed by former Irish Life & Permanent chief Billy Kane. It is mainly involved in the home equity release market.
