The Longbridge car production plant reopened today in Birmingham, two years after closing after the collapse of MG Rover.
Nanjing Automobile Corporation (NAC), the site's new Chinese owners, which bought Rover's assets in a £53m deal, plans to build MG TF sports cars at the plant.
NAC today held a special ceremony at Longbridge to mark the re-opening of the plant, with three new MG TF sportscars paraded about the site which in its heyday produced 10,000 cars per week.
Some 6,000 jobs were lost when historic British car manufacturer collapsed in 2005.
The site now employs 130 workers - but NAC plans to increase the workforce to 250 people by the end of 2007.
