Up to 23 jobs could be at risk in Mitchelstown if Breeo Foods goes ahead with proposals to outsource sausage production at its plant in the town.
Breeo Foods makes Galtee sausages and rashers, as well as cheese, at the plant, which currently employs 110 people. Management and unions are due to meet this afternoon.
But it is understood that if the plans go ahead, all those affected will be offered other positions within the plant.
