RaboDirect, Europe's largest online bank, has launched two new investment funds.
The Blackrock Merrill Lynch India fund invests at least 70% of its total net assets in equity and equity related securities domiciled in India. The Robeco Chinese Equities fund seeks long term capital growth by investing in equities which have their registered office in China.
Greg McAweeney, general manager of RaboDirect, said that the new funds reflect the demand for funds investing in fast-developing regions such as India and China.
Meanwhile, National Irish Bank has announced the launch of a new charity bond. The one-year fixed rate deposit account has a 100% capital guarantee.
For every charity bond opened by a customer, National Irish Bank will make a donation to the Marie Keating Foundation, National Irish Bank’s Charity of the Year for 2007.
