Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary has sold six million shares in the airline at €6.50 a share. The sale is worth around €39m.
Mr O'Leary has not sold any shares in the company since 2003. The latest available company report showed O'Leary held 41 million shares as of March 31, 2004, which gave him a 5.4% stake in the group.
Ryanair shares closed 12 cent lower at €6.54 in Dublin this evening.
