Down are take the Sam Maguire back north after victory over Dublin.

Down won their second All Ireland Football title of the nineties and and their fifth overall maintaining a record of never losing an All Ireland Senior Football Final.

For Dublin and their supporters it was more heartache as they failed again with the prize in sight.

James McCartan's goal and another penalty miss for Charlie Redmond before Down captain DJ Kane lifted the Sam Maguire.

The final score was Down 1-12 Dublin 0-13
