Criticism of All Ireland Football Final 1983

The Dublin and Galway teams arrive for lunch at the Burlington Hotel in Dublin the day after the All Ireland Football Final. President of the GAA Paddy Buggy spoke to RTÉ News about the game,

"As president of the GAA I was very disappointed with yesterday's game. It was a very untidy game. It was very physical, it was over robust, and it is not the type of football I would go and see as a spectator or as president of the GAA."

A RTÉ News report broadcast on 19 September 1983.
