Wednesday: Cloud and rain will spread eastwards across the country during Wednesday morning and it'll become breezy with moderate to fresh southerly winds developing. The rain will gradually clear eastwards through the afternoon and will be followed by clear spells and scattered showers, mainly affecting Atlantic coastal areas. Highest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees, coldest in Ulster. Wednesday night: Most areas will be dry on Wednesday night but some showers will affect Atlantic counties. There’ll be clear spells at first but cloud will build from the south overnight. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds. Thursday: There is uncertainty in the forecast for Thursday but it’s possible that a low pressure system will track close to Ireland, bringing a spell of rain and some strong winds. Highest temperatures of 4 to 9 degrees. The rain is forecast to be followed by clear spells and scattered showers on Thursday night, with temperatures falling back to between 0 and 5 degrees and winds easing. Friday: A mix of cloud, sunny spells and scattered showers on Friday. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degree with light and variable breezes. Further outlook: Current indications are for mixed weather at the weekend, with Saturday looking like the more settled day.
