RTÉ Rugby analyst Bernard Jackman says he would like to see Keith Earls brought into the Ireland team for their last two Six Nations games in this campaign.
Andy Farrell's side saw their Grand Slam hopes evaporate at Twickenham as England powered to a 24-12 victory.
On an off day for a heavily strapped Johnny Sexton, Ireland were in the contest, despite being out-played, up until the hour mark.
Luke Cowan-Dickie's try at that stage, England's third, ended the game as a contest.
And Jackman wants the Ireland coach to shake things up, dropping Jacob Stockdale, with Italy coming to Dublin next month.
"I think now is maybe the time to clip him a little bit by being dropped," Jackman told RTÉ Radio 1's Sunday Sport.
"Keith Earls, who is obviously very exciting, but also very experienced, does his job properly.
"There were a couple of clips from the game today where Johnny was giving him (Stockdale) the evil stare because he's out of position.
"Those little moments of switching off, or being in the wrong place... in the system we have, you have to be in the right place or else other people are going to be exposed.
"It will come with time. I'm not knocking him, he's a fabulous player, he's got an unbelievably bright future and he's already a quality international.
"Conway has done enough to say he's locked in. Larmour has done enough to say he's locked in, and it's hard to keep someone like Earls off without having a very high standard.
"I think Jacob dropped too far down today to hold his position."

Despite the result, Ireland are not out of the running yet. Should they, as expected, beat Italy the next day, then they will head to Paris knowing a victory will give them a chance of claiming the Championship.
Former Ireland international Paddy Wallace says the squad need to put thoughts of winning the title out of their minds for now.
"It's going to be tricky, for sure," said Wallace, who won 30 caps in green.
"You expect at the Aviva to get the five points (against Italy), and go across to Paris with a bit more confidence.
"Another three weeks in camp with Andy Farrell. This slow evolution... it's taking its time obviously, and today was a step back.
"I think they just really have to focus on the Italy game for a start, and not worry about the French game or the Championship.
"They just need to check out the tape, see where they went wrong, and then hone in on Italy."
Bernard Jackman and Eddie O'Sullivan will be reviewing the weekend's action on Against the Head, RTÉ 2 and the RTÉ Player, on Monday 8pm.
