Defending champions Mayo are set to take on Sligo in the quarter-final of the Connacht SFC.

The winner of that game will play Leitrim in the last four, while the other semi-final will see Roscommon face last year's beaten finalists Galway. London and New York are not taking part in this year's championship.

The draw took place on this evening's Six One News on RTÉ One.

Mayo beat Galway by a point in last year's final to claim a first provincial title in five years. Sligo pulled out of their semi-final with the Tribesmen after a number of Covid-19 cases in their squad.

Like last year, the football championship is straight knockout with no back door. The Leinster SFC draw will take place tomorrow on RTÉ's Morning Ireland, as will the draw for the Leinster SHC.

This morning defending champions Tipperary were drawn to play the winners of Clare and Kerry in Munster, while All-Ireland hurling champions Limerick will begin the defence of their provincial title against Cork.
