The draws for the 2021 GAA All-Ireland Senior Championships will take place on RTÉ early next week.

The Munster football (7.35am) and hurling (8.35am) draws will take place on RTÉ's Morning Ireland on Monday, with the Leinster championships being drawn on Tuesday's show.

The pairings for the Connacht and Ulster football championships will take place on the Six One News on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

This season’s football championship will once again be run on a straight knockout basis, while there is a back-door system operating in hurling.

The GAA previously said it would have needed another three weeks in the playing calendar to have facilitated a back door for the All-Ireland football qualifiers.

The 2021 inter-county season will begin with Allianz Hurling League action on 8 May.

The Allianz Football League will begin a week later on the weekend of 15-16 May, with the provincial championships commencing at the end of June.
