Cormac Costello has had his Leinster final red card rescinded and is now free to face Cavan in the All-Ireland football semi-final, according to the Irish Independent.
The Whitehall St Colmcille's forward was dismissed by referee Derek O’Mahony in the 21-point drubbing of Meath shortly after his introduction, with manager Dessie Farrell stating afterwards it was a "strange" decision" by the match official.
"It appears to be something that was said or some words between Cormac and officials," he added.
The Irish Independent, however, reports that the Central Hearings Committee last night rescinded the red card, though no other details have emerged.
Costello picked off seven points after coming off the bench in the provincial semi-final defeat of Laois and is pushing for a starting berth under Farrell.
Six-in-a-row chasing Dublin take on Cavan Saturday week for a place in the 2020 All-Ireland football final.
