This week's guest is Aoife Kellly. Aoife is the granddaughter of John Kelly, the great fiddle and concertina player from West Clare. Born in 1921 John Kelly came to Dublin in 1945 where he opened a shop on Capel Street. From then one he was a central figure in the Irish music scene in the city and many people passed through the doors of the Capel Street shop for chats and tunes.

Tonight's Rolling Wave focuses on the music of Julia Clifford.  Julia Clifford was born in Sliabh Luachra in 1914.  She was taught to play the fiddle by the Sliabh Luachra fiddle master Pádraig O'Keeffe and she and her brother Denis became two of his most famous pupils. She lived in London for most of her life where she played music in dance halls and pubs with her husband John Clifford and her son Billy.  In her later years she lived in Thetford in Norfolk and she spent many happy years playing at folk clubs and folk festivals all around England. 

Tonight's programme features the voices of Matt Cranitch, Billy Clifford, Geraldine O'Callaghan, Aoife O'Keeffe and Julia Clifford herself.
